If you have selected the wrong class you will be issued with a credit note, minus a £5 admin fee and you will need to book the correct class.
It is very important you select the correct class to ensure we have the correct gymnast to coach ratio. It also means you will in the correct emailing group.
Please note your space is not secure until you have booked onto the correct class.
New members are invited into the hall to watch during the trial sessions. Beyond that, we do not allow parents are guardians to sit in the hall and watch as it distracts the gymnasts. Younger gymnasts can have one parent or guardian in with them for the first lesson.
The last week of term will be a watching week where parents and guardians will be invited in to see what the gymnasts have been working on in the term.
Trial lessons are available and cost £10 per gymnast.
Trial lessons must be booked via the website shop before the start of the class.
Fully Booked Class:
If the class you wish to attend is fully booked, you will need to go onto the waiting list.
Trial lessons for classes that are fully booked will be held in the last session of the term. This trial lesson does not guarantee your space. Once a space becomes available it will be offered to everyone on the waiting list on a first come first serve basis.
Classes with spaces:
If the class you wish to attend has spaces, you will need to book the trial lesson on the site as usual.
If the term has already started and you wish to book on to the course, you wull be refunded for the lessons that you have missed.
Yes, we offer a 10% sibling discount on courses when all courses are booked at the same time. The discount will be automatically added to the basket when all courses are in the basket.
It depends on which class you wish to join. See our classes page for more information on age requirements.
Gymnasts that arrive at the session more than ten minutes late will be refused entry as they would have missed the warm-up and stretches.
Leotards or sports clothing should be worn to the sessions.
All jewellery should be removed prior to the sessions. Newly pierced ears should be covered up with tape or plasters.
Gymnastics is performed with bare feet.
Club leotards and shorts can be ordered through the website.
All membership fees are due annually.

It has come to our attention that a number of participants have not renewed membership this term (we have now improved the booking system to include membership automatically for the avoidance of doubt).
We have now implemented a membership payment scheme whereby if you have already booked on but are due to renew your childrens membership, a notification will show in your account screen allowing you to pay for membership only.
If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Club membership includes a contribution to London Gymnastics, with the small remainder covering administrative costs within the club.
British Gymnastics membership is also required for gymnasts to participate in sessions; this needs to be obtained directly from the British Gymnastics website. The current cost for the Bronze membership is £18.00 for the year.
Membership payments are due either when you first join the club and are also renewed at the start of the Autumn term. All memberships are invalidated at the end of the Summer term.
Every gymnast at Calypso requires membership which is renewed annually along with Autumn term bookings, or immediately upon joining the club.
It is mandatory as (most importantly) it covers the cost of insurance, governing body contributions and administrative overhead.
All memberships expire in October due to British Gymnastics policy. All BG insurance policies are invalidated at the same each year, regardless of when the policy starts and therefore must be renewed.
In the case that you joined the club after the Autumn term your membership will not last a full calendar year. If you are joining very late, please speak to us first as it may be possible to take out a short term insurance policy at a slightly reduced cost.
